No Equipment Required

So many of us will travel throughout the Holiday season visiting family and friends. There is no reason though, why you must forego your workout while away from home. Here is a circuit that will get your blood pumpin’ and keep you feeling tight with no equipment required! It can be done indoor or outdoor, hotel room or bedroom just do it realizing your calorie intake has increased enjoying all the tasty treats offered this time of year!

~  Warm up with 25 jumping jacks then some light stretching of your legs and upper
 body before you begin.

 First Tri-set:


20 Stationary lunges alternating legs (10 each leg)
    ~make sure to keep your knee behind your toe of your lead leg as you step forward to
      avoid injury.

15 Push-ups

20 Crunches

    ~lying on your back, cross your hands over your chest, knees up with feet flat on floor,
      crunch up using your abs while you keep your chin reaching up towards the ceiling

Repeat this tri-set for 3 sets before resting and moving on.

Second Tri-set:

20 Squats with alternating punches

    ~Wide stance with knees and toes slightly pointed outward, squat down as if reaching
       behind you to sit in chair, keeping your knees above your ankles & behind your toes, 
       hold your squat as you alternate two jab punches in front of you keep shoulders tight,
       don’t pop your elbows, control your muscles, then press to standing position and
        repeat for 20 reps.

20 Floor Jacks
     ~ Start in push-up position, keep arms tight while you jack your legs out and back in
        for 20 reps, push off the floor with your toes.

15 Tricep Pushups
     ~From your floor jack position above, drop to your knees, bring your hands in close to
       eachother, position your chest over your hands and while keeping your elbows
       closer to your sides bend your elbows allowing your upper body to come down
        then push back up, repeat for 15 reps.

Repeat this tri-set 3 times before resting.

Stretch and pat yourself on the back!
